From October 15 through November 30, enter to win the “Share Your Vision to Stop Diabetes” video contest. Create a 30-second video that shows your commitment to changing the future of diabetes.   • A total of 23.6 million children and adults in the United States—7.8% of the population—have diabetes.
  • 17.9 million people are diagnosed and 5.7 million people are undiagnosed

  • There are 1.6 million new cases of diabetes are diagnosed in people aged 20 years and older each year.

Tips for Promoting Healthful Eating for Your Kids

  • Start the day right by ensuring your child eats a healthful breakfast
  • Eat meals together as a family as often as possible
  • Carefully cut down on the amount of bad fats and empty calories in your family’s diet
