Good morning beautiful people!

First off, I just want to say it’s been soooo hot in Charleston lately. Every day has had a heat advisory with almost 100-degree temperatures.  We are at 10 consecutive days of 95 degrees or more. Wowzas! This is my first summer living in Charleston, so I’m trying to adjust to this heat but I can’t complain because that’s why I moved here.

Bridge Building In Troubled Times

Source: http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/yogadork/dwhv/~3/F87y7LaXRgU/

My first instinct is to always fight, hustle and Hulk smash my way through challenges in my life. This approach comes so naturally and is very appealing due to our action hero driven culture. There is nothing like dropping the hammer, because it offers instant gratification. Aggression offers so many blessings because it is so immediate, putting me, the aggressor, just a sledgehammer away from a brighter day.

The David Beckham Cardio Workout That Will Make You Drop

Source: http://www.bornfitness.com/the-david-beckham-cardio-workout-that-will-make-you-drop/

For more than 10 years, my job has been observing, following, and sharing the stories of some of the fittest people in the world. The one problem: most of their workouts have been edited by magazines to make them more “doable” for the average person.

It makes sense, but also can be a little deceiving. Year after year people ask me, “What are the hardest workouts you’ve seen?”

If you’re looking for an abs workout, sprints are the secret weapon of all…

First off, let me start this post by saying HECK YEAH USA WOMEN’S SOCCER!!!!  It was so much fun watching the USA women dominate the World Cup this year.  I hope you got a chance to watch some of the games and especially the final game on Sunday!

The final game was between USA and Japan which was a rematch from the last women’s world cup, which we had unfortunately lost.  Well, this year was different and USA won 5-2!  BOOM.

If you’re into fitness, you’ve probably been involved with running a 5k at some point or you’ve at least heard of them before.  5k runs are EVERYWHERE these days.  If you’ve never done an organized run, I’d highly suggest starting with a 5k like a fun run like the Warrior Dash or Color Me Rad.

If you want to take it up a notch, and 3.1 miles isn’t enough of a challenge fo…

The Best Protein Sources

Source: http://www.bornfitness.com/the-best-protein-sources/

Let’s state the obvious: protein is good for you.  You need protein, whether it’s for building muscle, losing fat, staying full, or just maintaining your health.

What’s not as settled is where you should get your protein and what are the best protein sources. And when you consider all the options, it’s easy to see why. From meat to vegetarian sources, powders to dairy, there’s a wide variety of options and plenty of difficulty understanding what you ne…
